During my work career, I have worked as a training manager, Production Manager, and Plant Manager for two different food manufacturers. Both of these organizations had process excellence goals, even though they may not have used that phrase to describe their performance improvement efforts. These eight years of experience taught me a lot about both what works and what does not work when it comes to real workforce engagement, continuous daily process improvement, and improvement team-based operational excellence. Additionally, I have been using lean six sigma approaches for over 20 years, which is much longer than these certifications have been publicly offered. My goal at Great Systems is to share my learnings with you in a low cost, high value manner.
