How do these KSAs help me avoid extinction?

The goal of the "Avoiding Extinction" process is to help you provide more value in the workplace, and in turn provide you with more job security from an employability perspective. The theory is that (1) the AQP KSAs represent skills that managers and supervisors need to have in a high performance workplace and (2) there will be a desire on the part of most businesses to be high performers. Learn the KSAs - be more more employable as the desire for high performance workplace practices increases!

The Avoiding Extinction workbook contains a Quality and Participation Skills Self-Survey (QPSSS), which is modeled around the 12 AQP knowledge, skill, and ability areas. This tool assesses (1) your current level of understanding, (2) your desired proficiency level, and (3) the degree of learning need that you perceive for each KSA. By mutiplying the proficiency gap by the level of perceived need for each KSA, a prioritized list of KSA-specific learning needs is created. You can't learn about all 12 KSAs at one time, but you can begin going after the two to three KSAs that would really help you make more of an impact in the workplace, both now and in the coming years.
