Unleash the Power of Project Teams (one and half days)

The team meeting is not the only place where project work takes place. In fact, if you count primarily on the team meetings as the main vehicle for project development, it is no wonder that it takes six months to a year for the team to complete its work. How much progress could you make on a complicated project if you were only given twenty to forty hours of project time? Do you need more effective project teams?

Team leaders or facilitators that participate in this workshop will learn how to identify projects that better meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders. They will also learn how to use tools for keeping their project on track, defining potential project roadblocks, and selecting project solutions that remedy the true root cause of a problem. This workshop can also help managers and team facilitators better understand when teams should be used to work on projects and how their teams can better use their valuable 'in meeting' and 'between meeting' time to develop their projects.

It is based on the Unleash the Power of Project Teams workbook, and it is facilitated by someone who has had success in helping more than sixty teams complete successful improvement projects.

Are Your Teams Working? - Keys to Team Effectiveness (one and a half days)

This workshop is the product of my years of experience with teams. I have seen both problem solving and work teams do marvelous things. I have seen them have sustained success over several years. I have also seen effective team programs die from lack of support, and I have witnessed the frustration of front line employees and managers alike who want to improve their company through teamwork, but aren't given the chance.

The concepts and tools in this workshop focus on how to (1) create operational definitions for different team types, (2) identify the specific time and money investments required to effectively implement and sustain team infrastructures, and (3) balance expected results with these investment commitments. By learning how to use these tools to apply the concepts, one can discover ways to get the most out of formal or work teams for the investment made, while also ensuring that team involvement is a fun experience.

This workshop is based on the "Are Your Teams Working?" workbook, and it is facilitated by someone who has had success in helping both work teams and project teams improve their effectiveness for over twenty years.

How do I become part of one of these events?

You can sign up for a on-site workshop by sending me a e-mail indicating which workshop you would like to bring into your facility. We will then work with a contact person from your location to arrange the workshop logistics, and more importantly, to customize the workshop to meet the specific needs that you have. You will be invoiced for the workshop costs following the event.

It is our goal to give you a lot of value for your time and money investment. If a course does not meet your expectations, your participation fee will be refunded! All you have to do is return the training materials.
